Welcome back, guys!
It’s me, Alfred.
How did you guys spend your Sunday afternoon? Guess what. I had to go the vet. That’s me waiting at the vet’s office to be seen.
I was sneezing more than I normally do and my ears didn’t feel so good. So, you all know Moms. She swept me up and put me in my black carrying case and took me off to PetSmart’s Bainfield Pet Hospital. They know me over there, guys. So, I know the drill. I didn’t even yowl that much in the car on the way over because I knew Moms was going to try to find out why my ears were bothering me.
But, guess what. My regular Lady Vet wasn’t in today. I had to see some man vet, and you all know how much I’m afraid of men. I hissed at the vet, of course. But, I let him check me out because I knew it was in my best interest.
“Well, Miss Harrison. It looks like your cat is okay. King Alfred’s ears are nice and clean. They’re just fine.”
“But, what could it be? He’s always shaking his head. And he’s sneezing more than he usually does. You know he’s from Rwanda, right? I told you that. And, this is his first time experiencing cold weather. He used to sneeze a lot when I kept the air conditioner on too high in Equatorial Guinea. So, actually, here in North Carolina, he hasn’t been sneezing as much until now. Right when it started getting cold with the change of seasons, ” Moms explained nervously, trying to make sure the Vet knew my whole history since he was new.
“Well, have you changed anything in his evironment? Like his cat litter? Maybe that’s what’s bothering him.” The vet explained.
“Well, actually, I did switch to discount cat litter to save some money. King Alfred is quite a handful, you know, and keeping him living in style can be costly. The King and I are tightening our belts until I get my next project. But, I didn’t think it would affect his health… Wow… my poor Little Man…” Moms said, fading out as she began to talk to herself and go over in her mind how her budget cutting was negatively impacting me – her Little Cat Man – and what spending she could cut so she could get me back on quality cat litter, like our favorite Super Scoop.
Can you believe it, guys?! Moms’ cheapness is like negatively impacting my health!
So, off Moms and I went – back to the Homestead. In the Benz, I tried to cover up the pee I made in on the way over that I was hoping Moms didn’t notice. Moms didn’t bring my litter box because the trip was short. But, I got nervous.
So, guys, I’m back home – nice and comfortable. My ears still bother me a little, bit but we’ll see what happens once I’m back on Super Scoop.
In the meantime, I’m just waiting for my next adventure!
So, tell me what happened to you this Sunday.
