A few weeks ago, my Moms up and celebrated my birthday – like on September 16th. Since I’m born in the summer she thought she’d better get my party up and over with before fall. Look at my cake isn’t it cool? Strawberries on top and all! This year I selected a Tres Leches cake from Whole Foods. (In case you forgot, last year for my 8th I had a Tiramisu cake).
The big problem was my Moms only gave people a day’s notice about my party so I only had one guest: Ms. Jacky. I’m so grateful she came. I would have been really embarrassed if she hadn’t shown up.
Also, my Moms told people not to bring me birthday gifts – only cards. What kind of moms is that? What real mother does that? Am I really getting maternal love, guys. But, the day after, Ms. Sharon, my cat sitter, gave me not only a birthday card but also a gift: a door-hanging nail scratcher. Here’s the card she came me – bright yellow under my Moms’ birthday flowers.
And, my Moms’ colleague gave me a cat coaster. For my milk…
Because we didn’t get a lot of guests for my birthday, my birthday cake sat in our refridgerator for weeks and got mold on it. But, that didn’t stop my Moms and me from enjoying it! It’s a little fury but if you remove the mold the fresh parts still taste good!
